Job Title:  Special Education Teacher- Miles City Public Schools

Description:  The Unified School District of Miles City Montana is currently seeking applications for Special Education Teacher(s) for the coming 2019-20 school year and beyond. District enrollment consists of approximately 1500 students from Pre-K to 12th grade. Base pay for this full time position begins at $32,235 as per negotiated agreement as well as a minimal co-pay insurance plan. Successful applicants must pass a background check and hold appropriate certification or the ability to obtain appropriate certification. A variety of coaching opportunities are also available. Qualifications: Successful candidates must have a teaching endorsement in the area of Special Education or have the ability to obtain endorsement. A variety of position(s) exist within various elementary school settings ranging from Pre-K to 6th grade. Candidate will provide educational enrichment opportunities for students qualifying for special education services maintain a case load around 20 students and assist classroom teachers implement inclusive teaching strategies. Behavioral modification experience is helpful but not necessary. Candidate will provide supervision of para-educators have sound verbal and written communication skills and the ability to be a self-starter. About Miles City Unified School District Miles City is Located along the banks of the Yellowstone River in the Bad Lands country of Eastern Montana. Steep in cattle and cowboy history, Miles City is a regional hub for the greater eastern region of the state. Located on Highway 94, the community is located about 2 hours west of Dickenson North Dakota and 2 hours east of Billings Montana. Miles City possesses a great family type atmosphere with many of the amenities associated with larger communities but not so big as to be ignored. The best little big town in Eastern Montana.
