Job Title:  Environmental Specialist

Description:  Job Summary Position is a continuing developmental level located in the Williston, ND area (Tioga, ND). Provide Environmental leadership and support to CLR's Operating Groups, focusing on CLR's HSE Policy. Duties/Responsibilities Position will facilitate water and waste programs and assist in air programs at the field, regional or company level. This includes, but not is limited to, solid waste, TENORM, SWPPP, NPDES, SPCC, etc. Assist in HSE management systems and corporate programs. Provide Environmental leadership and support to CLR's Drilling and Production Groups focusing on CLR's HSE policy. Responsible for completing multi-media Environmental regulatory activities that include monitoring, permitting, reporting, plan preparation and training. Develop positive relationships with Governmental regulatory agencies and CLR's employees. Effectively manage consultant resources as needed. Skills Strong communication skills, both written and oral Proficient computer skills Proven team player Self-starter with the ability to establish work priorities Required Qualifications Bachelor s Degree in Environmental or related field Valid Driver s License An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test Preferred Qualifications 3 years of multi-media Environmental experience Multimedia HSE experience Oil and Gas industry experience E&P experience Multi-site environmental compliance support experience Physical Requirements: Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended period of time Regular bending, crouching, pulling and kneeling to check equipment and gauges Ability to one arm carry up to 25lbs. without assistance Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs. without assistance Work safely with machinery and equipment Must be able to exert up to 40lbs. of force occasionally and up to 20 lbs. frequently to move or manipulate objects Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in field, Hazardous Chemicals, and Hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time safely The ability to inspect and have close visual acuity to perform activities. Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day during all types of weather conditions Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities.
