Job Title: Lounge Manager
Description: JOB SUMMARY Directs lounge operations of the hotel to ensure clean, orderly, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for our clients. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervises work activities of lounge staff. Ensure that Daily Prep List is complete and sufficient prep product is available for lunch and dinner service. Provides training, including safety training and standard operating procedures to all lounge personnel as directed by management. Ensures adherence to company quality standards. Distributes keys and work assignments to staff. Addresses guest complaints regarding lounge service or staff. Assists in the selection of lounge personnel. Assists management staff of hotel in assuring lounge staff is practicing efficient and effective procedures. Reports any maintenance repairs to maintenance staff records repair information in maintenance log. Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages. Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol. This is a condition of employment and failure to follow is suspect to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Enforce identification checking standards with all staff. Complete stocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies. Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages. Enforce state and local laws and regulations including health code in relation to alcohol and food service. Up sell drink specials. Accept guest payment. Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the lounge as directed by management personnel. All other duties as assigned by superiors. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Possess basic math skills and the ability to handle money, count change and operate a cash register. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Educational Experience High school diploma or equivalent or up to 6 months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Math Ability Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
