Job Title:  Electrical Engineer I - Aviation

Description:  Position Purpose Assist in providing engineering services for KLJ projects in a timely, accurate, and cost effective manner. Essential Functions Construction observation Assist with design, plans, specifications, reports and contracts Use design software to prepare design documents Read and interpret construction plans Ensure compliance with KLJ quality standards Utilize effective written and oral communication Responsibilities May assist with client management, contractors and public involvement Show increased design competency Become familiar with the details of putting together a set of plans Qualifications A Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering Experience level is 0+ years Must have a valid driver s license and be able to operate motorized vehicles Preferences: Completion of the fundamentals of engineering exam is preferred Knowledge in the National Electrical Code Experience in electrical contracting Previous experience or knowledge relating to aviation, municipal, transportation, and vertical electrical design is preferred Hours and Travel This position requires the individual work 40 or more hours per week. The percentage of time spent in the field and office will vary.
