Job Title: Pharmacy Tech- Retail
Description: POSITION SUMMARY Provide services under the direction of the Pharmacist-in-charge compliant with current standards of Pharmacy practice, consistent with all State and Federal regulations. Provide quality and safe delivery of Pharmacy services in the retail setting. Work under the direction of Staff Pharmacists in the absence of the Pharmacist-in-charge. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 1.Licenses and Certifications Required Current Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing in the State of North Dakota. National Certification desirable, but not required. 2.Educational Requirements Education as required or accepted by the North Dakota State Board of Pharmacy for licensure. Education may be evidenced by proof of licensure with the North Dakota State Board of Pharmacy. Yearly renewal of license by Board of Pharmacy and required amount of acceptable continued education as specified by the Board of Pharmacy. 3.Experience Requirements Retail Pharmacy experience preferred. Excellent customer service and team skills needed for interaction with Pharmacy personnel, patients and medical staff. Use of computers preferred. Good math skills needed. 4.Special Skills or Training Requirements Position requires professional demeanor, courteous attitude, ability to maintain and respect to a high degree the confidentiality of patient health information and data. The ability to maintain active customer communications during working shifts. The ability to work a variety of shifts based on company and customer needs. The ability to travel for meetings and training seminars. Adequate communication skills, oral and written, in order to accurately record information, orders, messages or other data. Capability to communicate with medical staff and patients in a clear, concise, friendly, and professional manner. Must effectively express thoughts, concepts, and directions through written media including correspondence, memoranda, and other company related documents.
